How to Use
• Like all learning, you will start with 1 flashcard at a time and state clearly the name of the object, animal or concept.
• After you have shown it, then ask your child to repeat the word they just heard. This repetition is to help improve vocabulary and pronunciation of words.
• Use flashcards on a daily basis for 5 to 10 minutes to help build memory skills and recognition skills during the process of learning.
• Ask questions, such as, “Where’s the cat?” or “What colour is this?” This helps develop observation skills, reasoning skills and thinking skills.
• Use the flashcards during storytime, games, and matching activities to make the learning process fun for your child.
• Add new flashcards to your routine as your child becomes familiar with the old flashcards.
• These flashcards can be used by both parents and teachers as a tool to repeat old material, teach the child how to learn, and participate in interactive sessions with their child.
